Workshop: PowerApps and Flow
March 29, 2019 – 8 am – 5 pm

The Omaha SharePoint User Group is proud to bring “PowerApps and Flow are Awesome” to Omaha. In this one-day training session, you will learn about the joys of Microsoft’s PowerApps and Flow. The whole point of this workshop is to “teach a person to fish,” focusing more on foundational knowledge, connecting the dots for people who have built an app or two, and helping you learn how to learn PowerApps and Flow. Shane has had the fortune of working on 100s of apps at this point so he always has an opinion on what you should and shouldn’t do. And don’t worry about being bored…this is not death by PowerPoint. This is a day full of interactive demos and questions meant to help everyone walk out empowered to build their own solutions.
Shane Young is a PowerApps and Flow nerd! For
Cost for this training is $50 which includes continental breakfast and drinks/snacks throughout the day. Lunch will be on your own.
Training is in the Microsoft Office at S. 67th St., Ste. 100, Omaha, NE 68106 from 8 am to 5 pm.

Sept 2017 Meeting
We lost our meeting place for September so, we will not be having a September meeting. Please keep checking back for our October meeting announcement. We are still planning on having a meeting on October 5th at the Microsoft Office.
As always, we continually need speakers for our meetings. Please consider volunteering to present to the group what you are currently doing with SharePoint. A user group is only as strong as its members and it takes active participation from everyone to keep this group going.
To submit a presentation idea, please click Speaker Submissions and complete the brief form. I will be in contact right away.
If you would like to learn about a particular topic, please submit a Topic Suggestion and we will attempt to find a speaker to speak on that topic.

Topic: Dealing with data in SharePoint
When building SharePoint applications, we often need to either move data between environments or interface with external data. We may even need to migrate whole site collections. This session will give a general overview of different tools and methods that you can use to either move large amounts of data in SharePoint or interface with external data sources.
Methods discussed will be
1. 3rd Party tools like:
a. Ontolica Fusion
b. Layer2 Business Data List Connector
c. Metalogix Content Matrix
2. Microsoft tools like
a. Powershell
b. Access
c. Excel
Since we only have an hour, we can’t dive into each one in detail, but it is our hope that you learn about the different ways to work with data and which methods will fit into your environment.
Presenters: David Petersen and Bill Lang
